"This place gives me peace. I grew up here. The community is lacking for teenagers and young adults which leads to drug use but it's a nice place to plant roots or at least come back to. I love how tall and old the trees are and how many parks there are. "

"It's beautiful and quiet. It's not good for teenagers or young adults. There isn't enough to do. The schools are great and the houses are generally well kept. I would be excited to live here again."

"I love the low key area porter is and being near the beach is a must! I have lived in this area for over 20 years. I moved away for a couple and was so happy to move back. This is home. "

"This area is the perfect location for both the native and commuter. It is incredibly close to the South Shore trains and practically across the street from 80/90/94 and 12/20. Plus, if you want you can get a pass from the town of Porter and park (nearly) on the beach. That alone is worth thousands to me. Of course, there is the waterpark, restaurants, and a ton of stuff to do from the National Dunes to Mt Baldy! "
