4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are some great teachers in this school, but an ineffective principal is what keeps this school from becoming great. This "leader" makes $150,000+ salary, and drives expensive cars, which shows how out of touch she is when almost half of the students in this building are considered "economically disadvantaged". Additionally, the principal treats certain teachers/staff with disdain and in an unprofessional manner; but will allow those she likes to get away with just about anything... these are not good characteristics of a strong leader. It's disgraceful and something needs to be done, but the district level administration won't do anything because they are just as corrupt. I would advise any family to stay far away from this school and Wappingers in general. They are behind the times, and will continue to be as long as these type of people remain in charge.Other Review1y ago - Roy C Ketcham Senior High School

"very diversified with people if different cultures which is positive however being in the city limits, very noisy, sirens as well as neighbor disputes and arguments....do not feel comfortable. Am looking for a another place to live. "

"Quiet, safe, vintage village. Older homes (from 1850s) surrounding more modern raised ranch homes. Sidewalks (rare around here!) make for easy walking to local library and neighborhood shops. Good schools and great restaurants/shopping within a 5 minute drive. Easy to get to local Metro North station (5 mins drive). "

"I live in the area. I love the fact that it is a quiet working class neighborhood. There are many historic places nearby and the shopping malls and parks are only a short drive away. The schools are great too! I feel safe too, and that is important to me. The neighbors are friendly too!"
