It's clean. There is easy access to health care, meaning:(Hospitals, first responders and friendly police forces..)Although there is good public Transportation, most neighborhoods are not accessible without a car wish create traffic but I wouldn't trade it for any other place :(For someone that lived in the city and Brooklyn for a long time this says a lot. )"

"Lots of boutique shops, hip restaurants and bars, and close to train station and beach. The village is constantly bustling with shoppers, joggers, and bar hoppers. The housing market is shrinking, as it is a popular place to live, and getting to be more so with every passing year. By no means is this cosmopolitan, but rather a mix of tight nit and weekend warriors. The festivals that come around all year long are pretty good, but the one that seems to draw the most people are Alive After Five and the Great South Bay Music Festival. "

"We live in the village and love it. Stores, Restaurants, Night Life...all top notch. No need to go anywhere else. Lived in Pat-Med my whole life, all of my kids have gone to or are still in school. Don't listen to the haters, Schools are fine. We have the same issues as all the other districts. Kids who look for trouble will find it anywhere..... Would recommend Patchogue and especially the village to anyone looking to buy on the south shore...."
