Lots of people walk at the evening and it’s nice to just feel safe where I live and truly love it. Main Street is a little packed in the morning but nothing is ever perfect. The Colony high school gets a bad reputation but if you take AP classes the teachers really care and the education is amazing if you actively seek it out. "

    "Nice quiet area to raise a family. Schools rank above standard for past 8 years and are within walking distance. Sports complex built in 2008 recognized and awarded by Sports Illustrated. While it is a small community, growth has been steady and provides job opportunities for residents. The Colony is located 18 miles NE of downtown Dallas and is bordered by Lake Lewisville to the west,the towns of Carrollton and Plano to the south, Little Elm to the north, and Frisco to the east which prevents the city from expanding much more than it is today. It lacks quality restaurants and attractions but these can be easily be found in the surrounding towns. "
