Unique historic Chester County home situated on almost 8 acres in award winning Owen J Roberts School District. Horses allowed! Perfect location close to major routes, shopping, schools and fantastic local restaurants like the renowned Birchrun Cafe and Butterscotch Pastry. Walking distance to the new Flowing Spring Inn. Horse lovers and nature buffs will love that Horseshoe Trail, Ludwig's Corner Fairgrounds, Warwick Park, Hopewell Furnace, Saint Peter’s Village and French Creek are all SUPER close! Enter the property by way of the circular driveway which loops behind the barn and house. Stepping inside the home, you will immediately notice the care and love that was put into the renovation. The first room you enter is the kitchen complete with beautiful exposed stone wall, easy to care for luxury vinyl plank flooring, newer cabinetry and Corian countertops. Next is the living room. This room is a nice size and offers a coat/storage closet, wood flooring and wonderful deep window sills. In the front of the home just off of the kitchen is the cozy main floor bedroom with closet which would also make a great home office, dining room or sitting room. Finishing this level is an updated full bath with sliding barn door and second entrance to the home from the pasture area. Up those charming pie shaped stairs you will find a private bedroom with large closet, wide plank floors, deep windowsills and another updated full bath. This one with a tub/shower. A full walk up attic provides more storage. The walk-out basement is lime washed for a light bright cheery feeling. There is a rear bonus room which could easily be finished for additional living space as well as the front utility room. There’s even an old root cellar accessed by an exterior door. Built in 1805, the home sits on almost 8 acres including pasture area, wooded trails and upper clearing (perfect for a fire pit). This clearing has been leveled for an exercise/riding ring. Options for an addition or subdivision should be verified with the township. A truly unique property priced UNDER market value! Take advantage of the winter market because this home will not last through spring!

"my neighborhood has public transportation and is close to major highways. close to restaurants, parks"
  • Trulia User
"I’ve lived here since May and I can imagine myself residing here with my family for the rest of my life. "
  • Trulia User
"25-minute drive to Malvern with quite a few alternative routes to choose from. It's nice to avoid 422 on my commute."
  • Trulia User
"People walk their dogs often and everyone cleans up after themselves and their pets. I live by the pool and you'll even see dogs and kids playing their a lot. "
  • Trulia User
"The majority of apartments are within reasonable walking or driving distance from most points of interest."
  • Trulia User
"I grew up here it’s a great place to raise a family with great schools. And you don’t have to travel far to get to everyday places!"
  • Trulia User
"I think that Spring City has this great small town atomsphere and has a lot of potential for fresh and exciting things if people would come and give a chance. It really has that potential to have that Mayberry close knit apple pie Americana feel if people would give it the opportunity. And it is close enough to major highways that you still have all the amenities that you need close by. I like and it is in a great school district. Thank you"
  • Trulia User
"Lovely quiet area, with safe walking,. a short drive to grocery shopping, pharmacies, and gas stations, and restaurants. An excellent school district with close elementary schools."
  • Trulia User
"The homes are reasonably priced in the area and there is plenty of parking, a huge plus. Without traffic you can be in King of Prussia in less than 15 minutes. There is plenty of local shopping. Shopping in Collegeville and Oaks is less than 10 minutes. There are few bars/pubs in the town, but Phoenixville is a short drive with a good choice of pubs and restaurants. The school district is excellent with a great kindergarten and grade school right in town. The borough itself is fairly quiet. There is no real public transportation. Septa runs one bus in town. There is a bike/walking trail in town the runs through to Valley Forge. Spring City is a good area for a young couple needing to be closer to metropolitan Philly but doesn't want the hassle of overcrowding/expensive apartments, and no parking."
  • Trulia User
"I love this area, quiet but full of lives."
