  • Trulia User
"I lived in Lansdowne for most of my life. My grand pop bought my house brand new so over the years there has been many changes (80+years). The taxes are awful and the school district isn’t what it use to be. There are many Victorian homes that are beautiful. Lansdowne is a pretty town but I honestly feel uncomfortable to walk outside in the dark. "

"Even though I don’t take the train anymore, the Lansdowne train station is a little more than a mile from me. I would hop on the Media/Elwyn line and could be downtown in 15 min."

"It's an okay area. I wouldn't say it's the safest place but it is very easy to get around in and there are many shops and restaurants and transportation areas around. Fire station a block and a half down the street. People aren't too friendly but some are. More of a keep to yourself kind of home."

  • Trulia User
"Lansdowne is by far one of the warmest, most community minded small towns I've ever seen. With newer venues like Sycamore, Nobl, the Lansdowne Table, Regency Cafe, the farmers market...innovative and fabulous! plus Cinema 169 and historic clubs & buildings, the area continues to maintain a small town feel while embracing modern appetites. Easy to get to Philly or the Main Line; it has it's own symphony orchestra - unbelievable! It's a great place to call home for many of my dearest friends."
