"Not unlike many neighborhoods in the Washington DC area shady grove village is very much a keep to yourself and maintain cordiality with your neighbors - neighborhood. The exception to that rule is that families with younger children seem to have bonded. Other than that it is a really nice neighborhood and quietly the best deal in Gaithersburg for access to good schools, restaurants, supermarkets, walking trails. "

"Community of Orchard Place is a neighborhood full of professionals and families that respect each other and lovingly maintain their homes. In a quiet area and located across from large playground, tennis, basketball courts, and pool. Easy bike or walk to Great Seneca State park where lots of walking and biking paths, option to rent boat and go out on the lake. 1 minute to restaurants, grocery, drycleaner, pharmacy, and myriad of other stores. Best of all it is minutes to Marc Train station in Gaithersburg which goes to Union Station in DC, and Shady Grove Metro station in Gaithersburg that connects to Bethesda, DC, VA."

"I grew up here and while some parts of this neighborhood have seen some hard times this neighborhood has managed to maintain its hometown appeal and character. New young families are buying and renovating bringing this old neighborhood back to life. Close to schools (walking distance to 2) and parks via bike and walking paths to local community center and at least three parks. Quite cul-de-sacs and mature trees that may need attention especially after the harsh weather after the last few years, but a great palce to revitalize and take the community back to its "safe" roots. Would love to be a part of the revitalization"
