"Multiple parks in the area and plenty of sidewalk space to walk your dog. There are a lot of bigger dogs in the area and on occasion you may see one that got away from its home. Always a good idea to keep your dog on its leash. Parking by Lighthouse at Twinlakes is a disaster. Residents have to pay for visitor parking now, which has made street parking complete chaos for home owners in the homes surrounding that community. "

"I’ve lived here for 8 months. The farmland from the USDA property makes Beltsville stand out. The neighborhood is suburban but still close enough to DC. We get a lot more space in our homes in an affordable price range. We are also close to all types of shopping up and down the main thoroughfare (Home Depot, Costco, Shoppers, Aldi, Ikea, etc). "

"Best of all worlds....huge wooded lot with lots of privacy in an area that provides quick easy access to University of Maryland, Ft. Meade, downtown DC, the beltway and I-95 as well as shopping at Costco, IKEA, Home Depot, Shoppers, new Panera Bread and ALDI market. Neighbors look out for each other. A great place to live! Predicted to be the next Chevy Chase. "

"I am always amazed how quick and easy it is to get from this neighborhood to the main arterials (I-95, etc). When you wake up to birds singing in the trees, rabbits romping in the bushes, caring neighbors...all just a short distance away from IKEA, Home Depot, Shoppers, Best Buy. Right up the road from University of Maryland, 15 minutes to DC, just 35 minutes to Baltimore, 40 minutes to Alexandria and suburban VA, 30 minutes to Annapolis, 40 minutes to the Eastern Shore. Just a few hours on the train and you can enjoy NYC."
