2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child attends this school and now is in the 8th grade starting next year and she has been here for about 4 years and has been shown alot of disrepect not only from the teachers but also from the students. The crisis team is probally more concerned about the students education then the teachers themselves. The teachers seem to have a i dont care attitude therefore this attitude rubs off onthe students making them want to be less involved. I have recently checked out other schools and they seem more academically involved ( teachers and students .) But i find it pointless to transfer her considering the fact that next year will . Her last year plus she had many friends over at bartlett so i will not move her and i really hope she choses voke or nashoba tech for her highschool choices. My son attends lhs lowell high school and he says "it's so so with education. If you really just want to go for sports lowell high is the place to go but if you are more interested in trade and more academics go to voke or nashoba." But anyway can't wait untill she leaves that school especially with moldy school lunches and a constant bug problem.Parent Review8y ago

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe're the best of the best. BUTLER BULLDOGS WORK HARD AND PLAY HARD. The Butler school is an amazing placed to explore your strengths and mprove your weaknesses. Many extracurricular activities are how you may act on those listed. I am a proud student of the 7th grade and this school has made me a great person. The teachers were accused of "favoriting students" in an earlier review that I read. Yes, this does occur, but only because the teachers notice the students they've helped and the students that actually let the teahers help them. It's all about effort and if you work for it, you'll earn it. Don't be shy or rude or any other negative trait, and the teachers will notice that. Be confident and try your best to do well, scholastically and socially. The Butler is a great place to become that way.Other Review6y ago

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen your son who is almost 4 years old gets up every morning (weekends included) because he needs to go to his Pyne School and see Mrs. M - you know can do nothing but smile! Keep up the great work - everyone there has been truly kind and warm to me, my son, my husband and my father (who brings him to school every day).Parent Review6y ago

- Washington Elementary School
6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI cannot be happier with my family's experience at the Washington School!!! The school felt like home as soon as I walked in. My children loved their teachers from pre-K to 4th grade. It is a very strong school academically and the dedication of each and every teacher is a reason for celebration in my opinion. During our first few years in the school, we were constantly hearing rumors about the school closing and then Mrs. Cunningham appeared and it was a game changing moment for the Washington School. She fought for this school tooth and nail! Soon we got a new roof, new boiler, and new windows... She still didn't get tired and we got new fencing around the school and a whole new renovated bathroom!!! I have spent a lot of time inside the school helping whenever possible or necessary and these students are kept busy the entire day. The school might be small but the effective use of every inch of the school is amazing and the living proof of that is the amazing Mr. Z. He is one of the best PE teachers I have ever seen and my kids absolutely adore him. To top it off, the school has one of the BEST MCAS score in the district!!!!! And that is a FACT for so many years that always makes me wonder "how do these teachers do it?" The Washington School is Lowell's rare gem, hidden, formed by caring, professional, and experienced people working hard for every single kid I have known there. We are proud to be part of it!Parent Review2y ago

- Reilly Elementary School
5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe new principal has been instrumental in turning around what was a declining school. We have 1 student at the school right now with another about to start at the Reilly this fall and we have been happy with our student's learning so far. The teachers and the principal have gone out of their way to engage us as parents and to meet the individual learning needs of our child through reading enrichment programs as early as first grade.Parent Review8y ago

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers here are amazing, my kids have always been happy with their teachers. I wish I could say the same about the principal. She does not take care of issues and we often have to turn to other faculty for help. The nurse has also brushed off my sick child more than once and she came home crying because of being in pain. If it weren't for my child's amazing teachers, I would have pulled her out of this school last year.Parent Review7y ago
