Description

This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from December 01, 2021
This charming, rehabbed studio condo is on a high first floor in a beautiful vintage brick building and shares a big outdoor back deck. The large bay windows let in lots of light and offer a lovely view of this pretty tree-lined one-way street in Buena Park. It has nice oak hardwood floors underfoot, and overhead there's recessed lighting in the living area and a tray ceiling in the kitchen where accent lighting could be added very simply. The space is large enough that furniture can be arranged in several different ways. Prop your feet up in front of this fabulous wood-burning fireplace when it's chilly out and soak up the central AC or just use the overhead fan when it's hot. The well-appointed kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a gas stove, dishwasher, maple cabinets and a wide breakfast bar. You'll be happy to have the convenient in-unit washer/dryer. There's more storage in the basement plus a bike room. This building is well-managed, well-maintained, pet-friendly, and allows rentals. It's close to the Sheridan Red Line station and the Irving Park bus. The lakefront is only a few blocks away, Wrigley Field is walkable, and so are many diverse shops, bars, and restaurants.

"This area is still up and coming.... there are a lot of homeless people around and they are often aggressive and uncomfortable. So I stay home at night and don't walk around. I've had 5 men try to intimidate me in the alleyway that i have to use to get to my apartment, I've seen another homeless man use the bathroom (number 2) in that same alleyway. I can't wait to get out of this area. I'm sure in time - it'll be better. But right now, it's not safe."
