What Locals Say about Beverly

  • Trulia User
"First period colonial houses on the coast. A deep, rich history along with great restaurants, colleges, and parks. Most people are friendly and are willing to say hello and see how their neighbors are doing. A very nice place to live. Next to all the unique areas of the North Shore and not so far from Boston. This place is a truly a picturesque and historic town overflowing with charm and beauty. "

"Dog owners would love my neighborhood we have plenty of open space Dean Street Beech independence Park dogs are very welcome in this community. Most people are respectful and pick up after their dogs although there are a few that think it’s OK to leave their poop bags around but that is probably an average of 10% of the dog owners"

"They would like the Beach. It’s difficult to explain the rules but often more dogs than people. Many are off leash as there’s lots of room to run at low tide. Not so great when lots of people are on the beach. Summer weekends not so great. Lots of good side streets for dog walking too."

"Nice middle-class area, quite close to the MBTA commuter rail's [Rockport/Gloucester branch line] quaint Montserrat Station. Close to downtown Beverly, MA and its waterfront parks/small beach--and 2.1 miles from Salem, MA attractions, waterfront, restaurants, and shops. 17.7 miles NNE from historic and vibrant Boston. This Montserrat area of Beverly is only 1 mile from the RTE. 128 beltway and--by following Rte. 62 west--is about 8 miles from I-95."
