this school is just horrible. the girls in the girls bathroom destroyed the basil OMORI picture i put on the wall with soap. also my mental health degrades because of this school

We had a great extra Caroline. Maybe kids attended from K-5th. Small class sizes (my sons K class had only 12 kids!) mean lots of teacher-student interaction. Teachers engage the kids with interesting projects and they use the outdoor nature campus for many learning opportunities. The principal was great too. All around a fantastic school!

In comparison to other elementary schools of the ICSD, BJM is a truer reflection of inclusion and cultural diversity. If you want your child to learn how to appreciate difference in gender, race, socioeconomic status, ability, and be exposed to a myriad of ways of thought, I would encourage you to consider this school.

Its fun at school to learn subjects that haven't been interesting in the past, all the teachers and staff are very supportive and make you feel very safe.

Enfield is an awesome school. The class sizes are small, teachers are enthusiastic and supported by their administrators and there is a real sense of community. There is a curriculum centered around gardens and farming. There’s a creek and sledding hills and kids spend a lot of time outside year round.

A good school with great teachers, a kind of toxic atmosphere, and equity problems. A lot of people are very focused on APs and there’s a culture of toxic academic betterness that is barely ever addressed as it should be. The lack of opportunities for students of color and lower income students are also not addressed as they should be. However, like I said, there are some exceptional teachers, and it is a good place to learn overall.

The first parent teacher conference we had with my son's first grade teacher was the teacher just showing us apps for almost every subject that he and his classmates were using. Having kids who went through NE years ago, I can compare that the conferences we used to have with teachers were about curriculum, behavior, my child's progress, etc. It was so weird to be shown screen after screen of apps. I have definitely noticed that my son's attention span has worsened since starting at NE, and we don't do tech at home.

This school is amazing. The administration, teachers, and staff are beyond caring. The culture here is one of inclusion and belonging. The special education staff is incredible and they work seamlessly with the regular teachers. Issues are addressed with thoughtfulness and care.We have put off moving until the kidd are out of elementary school.

I went 60 years ago, so I'm responding to the other person from that era. It was a harder school when we went there, but it's still a good school. It was the best of the 3 schools for me--Dewitt was a pit when I went there. Ithaca High School was also a better school then.
