"Commutes aren’t bad. There’s a lot of highway access to the area. It’s also easy to stay in town for non-job needs like shopping and restaurants. "

"It’s very walkable to get all my basic needs. Although some things are overpriced in the shops on Main Street, I like that I don’t have to go far for a pharmacy, bank, groceries, print shop, ups store or a hardware store. "

"I drive about 35 minutes to work. There is often a lot of traffic on Rt 9d as there is only one lane and it backs up when the train let's out and also when there is construction on the Newburgh Beacon bridge which is apparently quite often. Beacon is growing and they need to expand on the infrastructure of roads to accommodate the mass influx of people or it will be all too city like before we know it. "

"Beacon has become over crowded .. rents are too high even NYC now has cheaper rents .. you can’t go anywhere any longer that’s quiet . Schools are a mess , and main st is packed with tourists with ill manners on the weekends . New buildings have gone up all over the place for the past 10 years so there is never a quiet day without construction going on somewhere . Crowded parks and the mountain is now an attraction that is over run with city people with their stupid phones and garbage. "
